Insulation rather than "cooling"....aluminium foil wrap seems to reduce the ambient heat build up.
I assume "active" cooling via a Peltier would be possible - not sure what the real benefits would be - reduced noise?

Yeah reduced noise would be right and with our extreme temperatures here in Nth Queensland I thought it might be a something to look into.Merlin66 wrote:Insulation rather than "cooling"....aluminium foil wrap seems to reduce the ambient heat build up.

Re: Does anyone cool their DMK, ZWO or Grasshopper
Hi Alan
yes we had that discussion already and there are some cracks who cool the CCD. Some work just with a heat sink, others add a peltier element to the housing with a heat sink. I have all the stuff to do such a mod but we have very seldom very hot days which are calling for such a tuning. So I can't really comment about the effect realised

Thanks guys I am going to look into this because we have temps in the high 30's in summer and high 20's in winter.
