I would like to have some filters evaluated for transmission from UV to IR -- 350 nm to ~ 3500 nm -- and would like to know of anyone stateside who has access to a spectrometer capable of this, or knows of anyone who could do the measurements.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Spectrometer services?
Bob,
If I was in the US I'd love to assist.....Maybe Chris can assist?
Generally "standard" astro spectroscopes can cover 365nm out to the NIR (but need a sort filter -red), above 7500A.
I also think the "standard" available CCD cameras will fall short... my ATiK314L "dies" around 360nm and also runs out of steam above 10000A or so.......

Hi Ken,
Would that be Chris Schur in Arizona?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Spectrometer services?
HI Bob!
I can scan your filters with my spectrometer from about 380nm to 1000nm. That is the full range with my lens type spectrometer and DMK camera. Resolution will be 2 - 8 A depending on which of three gratings I use.
