Herschel Wedge, CaK or Ha module Housings
Herschel Wedge, CaK or Ha module Housings
Does anyone know where one can get these housings? I am interested in them for a solar project. At this stage I am thinking of using an empty 2 inch diagonal housing, but it is still not perfect. Would like to have the "back part" of the diagonal as well.

Mark, I would like to build a Herschel wedge and a CaK module. I've built a Herschel wedge from plumbing pipes, but would like a neater design this time.

Brett,
What prism do you want to use for the Herschel wedge?
The size would influence the support diagonal body size......

I think teleskope service in germany carries a range of parts for this sort of thing

Hi Brett
EO offers you all the housing and the prismen. But why not search for second hand ? Are you looking for 2" or 1 1/4" ?

Re: Herschel Wedge, CaK or Ha module Housings
Mark and Walter, thank you for your replies.
Merlin66, I will be using a 10 degree wedge prism, 30mm round.
Walter, I have placed a wanted ad on Cloudy Nights. No responses yet.
If it needs to, I can stay with my plumbing parts for now. But hey, we all want our scopes to look sexy, right?
