Hi
On my TAL 100 PST stage 1 I have fitted an internal 75mm D-ERF, does this mean that I can remove the existing black box ERF which is located just below the BF?
The reason - mine looks like it is failing (rust) so rather than spend £75 on a new one if I could do without.....
Scope will be used for visual and imaging.
Thanks

You will still need to use a blocking filter with an ERF, but yes, you can remove the black box.

Re: PST stage 1 can I remove the black box ERF
Thanks Mark, must admit I'm a bit confused as I was going to keep the black box (i.e. stage 1) and just remove the erf which is currently under the BF i.e.
Current
75mm D-ERF - etalon - original rusty erf - BF5
Proposed
75mm D-ERF - etalon - (optional ir/uv cut filter?) - BF5
Not sure if I'm being a bit over cautious fitting an ir/uv cut but I would rather fit something now and not live in regret later. Alternatively if I need to replace the rusty erf then so be it.

Hoping for clear skies.....lol
