PST or Lunt components?

Post by Bassoon »

I am converting a 100mm ED refractor for solar use. Hope someone can advise.

Would a Coronado PST or a Lunt 50 pressure scope be preferable at the business end? (Lunt 100mm ERF over objective).

The Lunt has the B600 filter - is this wider than the PST filter?

Is use of a focal reducer viable to change the focal ratio to suit the Lunt better?

Any advice welcome, thanks.

PST is easier mechanically. Depends how competent you are with such things...
