TAL 100RS PST Stage 2 Mod

Post by uplooker »

Hi All,

Well I thought that it was only fair, after all the daft questions i have posted on here, to post some pictures of the slow progress i have made on my TAL 100RS PST Stage 2 Mod.

I have cut a slot in the tube to accept an internally mounted 75mm Baader D-ERF. A friend who has acccess to some forming rollers rolled the patch to match the profile of the TAL tube.

I glued (extremely strong industrial glue) some anchor nuts to the inside of the TAL tube, at the ends of the slot, so that I can attach the patch.

I have attached a fixed lens mount to the patch, this will hold the D-ERF within the light path.

The only thing I need to do is cut the tube to get the etalon to the magic -200.

I am just waiting on a couple of elements to turn up and I should be good for 1st light. If everything goes to plan I hope 1st light will be this weekend - fingers crossed

Ian
