Just got my new PST and have questions

I just received my new PST and I have a few questions. There is a little round window on top of the black box. What is that for? There was nothing in the instruction manual that tells this. Also, how do you find the Sun since there is no finder scope? Thanks.

the little round window IS the finder scope...

point it at the Sun and you will see a small point of light representing the Sun to center on

no, it should make about 12 turns and stop

I think that after 12 turns you ca still turn the focus knob but it will not tune any further, it is the same both ends of the tuning

If the knob keeps turning a little circlip on the threaded rod has fallen out.
