Tuning the e talon

Post by vikeljay »

I get uneven illumination a Ross the disk. I can get rid of it by turning the tuning ring. However, if I have even illumination, I lose all of the detail of the Sun. When I tune it to get the most detail, I have the uneven illumination. Does this sou d like a prism out of alignment or does it sound like the tuning ring needs adjustment or something else altogether? Anyone have I ages of what the Sun looks like when the prism is out of alignment? Thanks
Jim

I see you finally made your way to the Yahoo PST tech group.
Some of us here have been members of that group for a long time.
Spend some time digging through the available information.
Too much to try and enumerate here in a few sentences.

Post image processing is all part of the game Jim. Without it the pics look just bland and have no pop.

Samsung SBC 2000 color camera 1/3 chip ( 6mm focal length) - 758 x 494 pixel chip size - 6.35 x 7.40
Primarily, it is a security box camera with the U/V filter removed. It is great on planets.

I hate to say it but this is probably the worst case for solar. You really will only get the best results from a mono camera.

What capture software are you using to get good results on the planets?
