High resolution photos April 3, 2014. 150mm scope.

Post by Valery »

Today I managed to take some high resolution photos of the active regions on the Sun.
SW150/750 + Aries solar kit + LS50F Ha + Flea3 camera.

600 frames out of 1300. Seeing 3-4 out of 5.

Thanks for looking.

Valery.

Great detail in these images Valery. I can find no information of your setup or your Aries solar kit.
Could you share some details.

This is a lit of optics (5 lenses, two parts of mechanics) which transforms any of three SkyWarcher telescopes 100mm F/5, 120mm F/5 or 150mm F/5 in to a solar H-a telescope with Lunt LS50F Ha etalon and B1200, B1800 blocking filter. The optics collimate the light beam (makes an etalon work at it's best), refocus the beam and corrects all aberrations - spherical aberration, astigmatism and field curvature.
With optional binoviewer (with different glass path compensator barlow lens 1,25x or 1,7x or 2x) it delivers a full sun disk with prominences at the Ha - fantastic fascination views! Such a telescope can be used for photography with any CCD telecamera.
The bandpass can be either 0,7A and 0,5A . Single etalon supports 0,7A and two etalons deliver 0,5A views.

I hope to start the sales within coming summer.

Regards,

Valery.
