a way to center and observe UV lines in spectroscope
Now that I have a spectroscope, Helios-graph
I was wondering how you guys center caH or caK lines
my eyes don't see these very well
a While back I wrote about caK eyepiece with use with my Lunt caK scope
I tried it with spectroscope a low and behold I was able to see many UV lines
including caH caK
view is green with black bands -
its not very bright but bright enough that I can see them
here is my UV eyepiece

Re: a way to center and observe UV lines in spectroscope
i must be right
here is caK and caH images - raw and unprocessed
Montana - this is my first caH narrow band image - not that 5A filter stuff
again I can't thank all of you on this forum for me getting this far
with SHG
I got to start reading Wah! document on processing images!!!
Wah! , Merlin66 this type of image processing is more similar to long exposure imaging
than planetary
one question based on spectrum image above can you Identify how is K and who is H if you dont know orientation of camera?

yes they are!
it's easy to catch them with the camera : end of blue spectra!
