Quick discs 21 August 2016
Hi all
It has been a while since I last imaged - I missed all the great Proms, ARs & Filaments of late. It was clear late this morning so I could not resist (even though GONG did not show too much action). I also had my B1800 de-rusted recently so I wanted to give it a run. I have never used it in my LS60 (stock B1200) so I gave that a go too. I was amazed that the exposure times were so different - B1200 is at 1/182 & the B1800 was at 1/435 - Gamma was the norm. I guess more light gets in!
I hope you all have a sunny Sunday & a great week ahead.

Matt:
Nice and clean solar discs.
I am sitting at my home observatory, the sky is cloudy and hazy, but waiting that the sun gets out of my neighbor´s tree so I can find an opportunity to image it, though as you say Gong does not show much of the sun.
Best regards,
Eric.

Nice work Matt. 'Tis a bit quiet at the moment, still at least I'm not missing much under all this cloud.

Great images, Matt. Yet more cloud and heavy rain here, so no chance of any solar imaging for me.
