Thank you Alexandra and Mark.
I was planning to make even a bigger mosaic but at the moment the seeing does allow a higher focal length then 900mm.
I am using a Takhashi FSQ 85-ED @ 450mm in combination with a photographic extender from Canon. The mosaic was made with a 2X extender and adding a 1.4X would raise it ro 1260 mm but no chance of getting good quality at the moment due to the seeing.
