Sol from the 11th of January 2018.

Post by eroel »

Hi:
Again a blue sky in the morning, but at noon it was a bit foggy, probably due to our nearest volcano, it has been smoking very much lately, it gives a yellow hue to the sky.
So before lunch I took some FD´s, 2 in CaK and 2 in H alpha, the seeing was better than yesterday.
Thanks for looking,
Eric.

A fine crop of images, Eric.

Your Calcium images with proms in particular are excellent.

Alexandra, Mark and Stu, thanks for looking.
Mark, the volcano is the Popocatépetl, that in the native Nahuatl lenguaje means the smoking mountain. It is a cone active volcano 5500 meters high above sea level, it is 72Km from Mexico City.
Best regards,
Eric.

Hi Eric - the discs look pretty good - not much happening though! Hope to get out tomorrow - before the heat!
