A few Saturday discs - 10 February 2018

Post by mattwastell »

Hi all
It has been a while between Solar drinks for me - a combination of weather, work & other stuff - I think my last session was in September!!!!!!
As soon as I had a chance this afternoon I set up to have a look & snap a few pics. My batteries were flat so I had to manually track which was quite funny - trying to image was quite hit & miss.
Our weather today was hot & humid so the views were bouncing around a fair bit - that did not worry me as there was a few interesting things to see - an Earth facing AR, a few small Prominences & some small Filaments - quite the collection.
Images with LS60 & DMK51.
Have a great weekend all!

Matt: beautiful disks rich of details. Well done !

I like to see that sunspot group right in the middle of the disk.

That's a very nice disk Matt. Glad you've squeezed some sun time in.

I've missed your exquisite solar discs Matt, I am so glad you braved the heat to give us a view of the Sun, I think I haven't seen it since last September either ;)

Nice FDs, Matt. It has been so long since I last imaged the Sun, I think I've forgotten how ;).

Thanks Alexandra - I see you have been out recently!
Stu - I was very rusty - I was surprised how out of touch I was - not having power made it quite the drama - missed a jet transit - I saw the shadow across my face but no disc on the screen.
