Hey all,
Woke up to a hazy, but otherwise cloud-free sky at 7am. I went out to my observatory and prepared for some imaging as I checked GONG and AR2715 had grown significantly since yesterday from an active unnamed region to a large visible umbra and detailed pneumbra which is fantastic. Great prominence groupings too, a big "floater" hovering the limb. I gathered the data in 656.28nm & 393nm to compare wavelengths. The full disc is another mosaic that stitched together fairly well. The sunspot groupings and faculae are awesome in 393nm.
Equipment:
Celestron Omni XLT 120 Refractor
Orion ED80 Refractor (for 393nm full disc)
Orion ST80 Refractor (masked to 60mm F6.6) for 656.28nm Mosaic
Baader UV/IR Cut Filter (ERF for 656.28nm)
Baader B-CCD Blue Filter (ERF for 393nm)
Daystar Quark Chromosphere (656.28nm)
Skybender with 393nm filters
Orion Sirius Mount
ASI174MM Camera

Wow!! you are so lucky to get such a good view of this activity and the results are beautiful
Usually if there is huge activity on the Sun = cloudy weather in UK
