Sunny Saturday
What a lovely sunny Saturday after a nightmare snow event on Wednesday everything is back to normal. First thing this morning we went for a lovely walk along the canal which was totally frozen over but we saw not one but 4 Kingfishers! They were absolutely gorgeous with their electric blue feathers shining like sapphires in the sunshine. At lunchtime I was able to get the PSTs out of the bedroom window for a quick glance before some fluffy clouds rolled in. All in black and white today. PST's + DMK41

I guess I won't see the Sun for a very long time now if Mark has a new solar telescope

Re: Sunny Saturday
Lovely full disks, Alexandra. I was out as well with my DS Lunt60, but I was really struggling to get on-band. The image was bland and lacking detail. I messed around so much, struggling to get anything worth taking, that I missed the window of opportunity and a large bank of cloud came over and parked itself exactly where I didn’t want it. That was my day done

Re: Sunny Saturday
They are super full disks! I'm always envious of how tight the bandpass of that DS PST is. I'm away at half term skiing so the weather in the UK will be glorious then. It's not just a new scope but a new camera, so apologies for all this cloud now

Cracking images Alexandra. Is your H alpha pst double stacked? Wish I could get such nice flat images from mine!
