2020-02-07 - CaK first light (sort of) and some HA

Post by JochenM » Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:12 pm

So I recently managed to get a good deal on a Lunt CaK b1800 module; so I couldn't resist (there's something about CaK that just draws me in). After some failed imaging attempts (due to the weather not playing nice); we had a beautiful sunny day here today. So I spent a good time outside to have some fun with it. The images are not as sharp as would like; but I blame that on the conditions (quite a bit of wind). But not a bad first run I think.

CaK (80ED f7, stopped down to 60mm (effectively putting it just shy of f10):

Looks like you had a very enjoyable session, the CaK is working very well and I really like the close up of the little AR :hamster: :bow

A good set of images, Jochen. Hopefully you’ll get better seeing conditions next time.
