2.07.2020 Heads up chaps!

Post by Rusted »

Anybody still have any sun have a look at what just came around the corner.
A vast disturbed area that looks like a seagull or a dragon. You can't miss it!
I just captured the last glimpse before the trees swallowed the sun.

Thanks guys. :D

Yesterday was very difficult for imaging.
Mostly cloudy with just a few teaser blue holes.
The seeing was awful!

The strange markings near the eastern limb stood out very clearly on the monitor.
That was just before the trees claimed the sun for their own.
I only caught the "paint splash" by the skin of my teeth.
Later, it was an evening of brief, but gorgeous, golden washes cross the local landscape.

Gong Ha is only showing the faintest of smudges at both 8 and 10 o'clock in the east today.
We have far more cloud than blue again.

Cheers Rusted and indeed keeping a close-eye on the surface detail.

You are [much] too kind. Thanks. :bow

You mean to say the Sun isn't flat after all? :o

Why wasn't I told?
