2020/10/18 Solar Flare AR2776 &full disk

Post by alexhuangyan »

At 10:52 ut + 8 on October 18, there was a mini B-level flare activity in the sun. The flare was animated by multiple images taken with 102ed + combo quark filter.
The whole day surface of chromosphere is 60ed + combo quark filter, the original image is 20 million, and the limit of forum map is changed to 10 million.
Before often using 174mm, found 178m shooting sun details also seems very good!

Wonderful images! Very nice WL image and full disc Ha image. Catching the flare in time lapse was an amazing catch. I caught the flare visually towards the end of it's show yesterday.

Hi Alex,

Nice catch from Beijing. There are so many fine details along the limb in the HA full disk.

Congrats on catching the flare from 10:44 to 10:55 am. It was still flaring when I imaged it at 1:33 pm in Singapore.
