23-3-2021 PANASONIC DMC-G2 & Baader Solar-Film

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

Oh well, I had to try-out my camera to see what happens with just a Solar-film attachment.

Not as good as NASA's SDO Satellite images, but wait until the camera is attached to the ETX-125 and its' Orion glass-Solar filter etc..

The good thing though is; it's Sunny and warmer than of late...

Cheers
Terry

Thank you James.
Other than a quick session with the DMC-G2 today because the clouds have allowed, I've still got more to do with the R2 Imaging System and the ETX-125 and I'm sure the Lunt Ha, Cal-K & the Orion ED80/WL is requiring my attention again back in the EGRAY-Observatory - now the weather has decided to "warm-up" somewhat... (nearly 5-months since my last Tri-scope imaging there)...

You are welcome Terry.

And I am clouded out today under a uniformly overcast cloud deck.

Oh dear James, well I guess all one can do under those circumstances - is be patient as things will improve and allow for some more of your excellent imaging and of course those all important reports.

Cheers
Terry

Yes Mark, it would be well-nice to start tri-scope imaging again soon after this long break, as have lots of things to try out to make improvements from last Novembers' sessions. The cataracts are a problem which is being delayed for a couple of months due to another more serious problem.

Cheers
Terry

And check out SolarChat, Helioviewer and SDO and GONG too. With the internet one can always see through the clouds!!

Yes of course James and I will continue to do just that as in the past years too.

One of the better uses of the internet for us to survey - when the pesky weather prevents the MK1 Eyeball and our scopes etc., from doing what they were made for...

Cheers
Terry

Many thanks Eric for the thoughts and yes hopefully will be able to do some decent-imaging soon - compared to the attempts with the DMC-G2 cam.

Terry
