Full disc 25-03-2021

Post by rsfoto »

Hi,

Today a bit of Sun compared to the dense Cirrus clouds of yesterday and when I finished my videos I got this

Sun_Halo_20210325.jpg
Sun_Halo_20210325.jpg (581.26 KiB) Viewed 306 times

and here the discs which I thought would be worse as I had a bit of cirrus inbetween.

Good activity in both hemispheres. Look like South is awakening.

As usual best seen in full size in a new tab/window :bow2

Rainer:
I have had the 2 last days like yours, hazy and cloudy.
Thanks for the beautiful mosaics.
Fuerte abrazo.
Eric.

And you did this well through those clouds! You and Eric are the solar dynamic duo of Mexico!

What latitude are you, Rainer? You seem to have a constantly warm climate and the Sun never drops very low. Are you south of the Tropic Of Cancer?

These are fabulous Rainer, I was very interested to compare my images with yours. The only difference is that I didn't see any large filament in the south east like you have, I wonder if that is my bad imaging or whether it developed later in the day?

Hi James,

I am at North 22° and yes South of Tropic of Cancer and so we get the so called Sub solar points e.g. no shadow at all :o

https://rl.se/sub-solar-point

Last year I made a video of it

https://vimeo.com/437296832

and below my location and the timing for the Sub Solar point. The shadowed part above my location has no Sub solar points
