Ha, CaK Disk and a brief animation 11/9/2023

Post by rigel123 »

Trying to keep up with processing as I have been getting clear skies in the afternoon rather than the morning and then get busy at night! I'm actually out this morning under clear skies and fair seeing so a good problem to have! Seeing was not great in the afternoon and the clouds were scuttling by so the animation is only 42 minutes long, but I love thick proms on the limb so I did both a positive and negative image for the animations. Also had just enough time to grab a disk in CaK but then the clouds took over. Lunt LS60T DS (learned I need to clock it differently on the other side of the Meridian!). Player One Saturn-M SQR/Orion ED80T masked to 40mm and Lunt BF1200 CaK

Beautiful collection of photos and animations.

Superb work in all of these Warren :bow

It seems I've missed a good week of potential solar...weather has not been favourable here.

Very nice set Warren. Especially the underlying activity holding holding up all that plasma in the large Filaprom in the animation.

Thanks Ralph, I noticed that activity as well, I would have liked to get in a bit closer to see some better details in all that activity beneath that prom.

Yes me too Warren. It’s been like it for a few days but I couldn’t manage any animation. I still have some data which might show something, I will check before Zoom.
