Animation of the SE limb Up & Over Down Under

Post by Peterm »

G'Day Chatters!

I was in two minds as to whether to post this, but I couldn't see the point in wasting my wife Wendy's lovely image of Sunrise yesterday! It's been very slim pickin's for me in these last few months. So I was happy to end up with something at least in the short time I had.

I present my inverted animation of the South Eastern Prominence from yesterday captured UT 2024/03/13 04:17 to 05:44  Seeing was a bit below my normal par as it has been for some months now. Very windy yet again. Kite surfers were having a ball, Solar Sailing both of us! Sky clears for an hour or two and then the wind takes over as you can see from the sail to the left of my scope.

Enjoy Wendy's Sunrise from yesterday along with an image of my developing "Cupboard Solar Observatory" (or as Nic coined it the CSO!).

The animation makes me think of boiling chocolate and all the motions of bubbling hot deliciousness :) :bow :movie

The sunrise is amazing, what a sky! I am by the sea at the moment but it is grey, wet, cold and blowing a gale. Still lovely though :)

And I love hot chocolate. I love most types of chocolate. When I deep sky observe hot cocoa is my warm up drink of choice. Dad even has a Siamese cat named “ Chocolate “!
