Re: Importance of the image restoration in the solar imaging.

Re: Importance of the image restoration in the solar imaging.

Valery... I have a question about a line in your original post on this topic, and I need help to clarify what you mean by "with the right approach to restoring images destroyed by the atmosphere". By "restoration", do you mean in the selection/alignment/stacking process in order to produce the best ...

Re: October 15th Session

Thanks Alfred!

I did a little more work through the Newtonian on Saturday, and will return it to my friend next weekend. At least we know he can use it as an Ha scope for longer focal length imaging with his quark once he gets an observing site set up at his new home.

Sorry to hear that the condensation trails from the jets causes so much grief...hope you get better conditions.

Don't worry about the translation...its far better than any attempt I'd make going form English to French ;)

The solar is always fun to work and share, but so much more in the environment that catches my eye as well. Glad you (and others) like the extra photos.

I find something 'special' about each season, but autumn has to be the prettiest with all the rich colours.

October 18th Sun and Landscapes

Good day everyone... The clouds parted during my lunch yesterday so I took a few minutes to check the sun and it looked typical of the recent views...little disk activity and some faint proms. I setup to do some full disk imaging, but after seeing the proms decided to try some high res work as well....

October 15th Session

Both images are impressive, but I wouldn't have expected as much different in the overall appearance if only the date/seeing condition was changed between them. Still, very good images :bow
