Re: July 5 2021 Observations

Hi James...

Good to ready your report for the session!!!

Overcast with much needed rain today so I didn't get a chance to see the sun, let alone observe or image.

Re: July 2nd Ha Set

Alexandra and Warren... Thanks for your comments and feedback on the session...very much appreciated :bow Alexandra the dome itself is not the problem, it is my interface to match it up to my roof that has a couple of spots that I missed with caulking. I think they are sealed up now but need a rain ...

July 2nd Ha Set

Good day everyone... Saturday started clear and the seeing was reasonable when I started to image, but by mid morning the daytime heating was starting to produce bands of clouds that aggravated the later part of the session while capturing the proms. The first image is the full disk Ha taken with th...

Re: Sunday Sunshine - Seeing and Sampling June 26th

Hi Stuart...

I agree with all you have posted!

It is a juggling act to make the most of the conditions, but if an effort is made to consciously attempt to make the most of the conditions/equipment then excellent results can be had.

June 25th Ha Session

Hi all... I wasn't able to get out of work until after the noon hour on Saturday and I expected the seeing to be terrible by the time I finished lunch, but I sent to the scope anyway. Glad that I did...even through the seeing was not great I was still able to get some nice results from the session (...

Re: Noctilucent clouds

Nice to see more updates Ivan :bow I have only witnessed the NLC once, and that was through the window of an airplane. My wife and I flew to Scotland in the later part of July in 2019 and they were present most of the night time flight. I chose a window seat in hopes of seeing the aurora, but got an...

Hi Fabio... The images look great...sharp focus, tune well...well done :bow The newton rings are a major hassle. I have both a B1200 diagonal model and a B1800 straight through blockers, and find little difference in the two when it comes to the newton ring. I find my cameras are the greater issue. ...
