Regarding the glare, I'm not sure of the cause this time.
I will have to take it all apart and check for sources. I though I had a bit of a light leak but once fixed it still had a lot of glare, so back to the drawing board.

The nose-piece length is the key...I used the same Baader unto for my FD solar and planetary work where i have it set of 1.6x as a result of it mounted closer to the chip.

Hi Alexander... I have attached a pic of the DSII pair on the Orion EON 130 OTA. The tube was not shortened as it reaches focus in its native length but hasn't got much in focus travel left. Where we are the eclipse starts mid morning, so don't think the meridian flip will be an issue but I'll have to watch where the tripos legs are setup to avoid the camera hitting one

Good day everyone... Clear skies returned on Monday and with it more seasonable weather (and more sap to boil), and I was able to do some solar imaging over lunch and some deep sky after dark too. Too bad to see the condition of the camera Rich.
Reach out to ZWO...they are usually good about repairs but may vary depending on the age of the camera. Worth a try, and if you get another camera you might have a backup if they help you out.
