This forum is lightning fast on the most reliable host on Earth at Dreamhost. I have ran every test possible and even pay a monitoring service to tell me when and if the forum is down and when it goes back up. I use uptime robot for monitoring. Here is the list of every outage since Sept 16 along wi...

Re: Coronado SolarMax III RichView blocked

yep, I watched the video-it’s stuck and needs exchanging or repair.
You can use it with the one etalon in the meantime.
I would try to deal with the retail outlet that sold it to you rather than the Meade corporation as they are in pretty dire straits right now.

Re: Coronado SolarMax III RichView blocked

it spins either way. There is a screw that restricts it to a certain range. the screw can be removed easily to turn it to a different range if necessary. To be honest, I never use this ring for tuning as it doesn’t really make any difference in my location at 950ft above sea level. The tilt tuning i...

Re: animation November 16 , problems with firecapture

I was just trying to lighten the post a little. :) it is very frustrating trying to get all of the various pieces of gear working together. Try using Macs only…lol. The pictures you posted are some of the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve been doing this for a while ;) so there’s also that side of the eq...

Re: animation November 16 , I LOVE Firecapture

I love firecapture. It’s a free program and one of only a couple that work on a Mac. I don’t get the lines you speak of since changing out my usb cable and I’m very appreciative that someone maintains this software for us to use. It does work much, much better with a solid state drive and at least 1...

I have used ASTRO IIDC almost exclusively since around 2009. I have a gathering of old iMacs and MacBooks that I keep just for that purpose and a Golden Key from Milton. I also have a Player One Apollo M-Max that I use fire capture on. Are you saying that your .avi's from fire capture will process i...
