Northern Prominence on January 7th

I wanted to share what I was able to capture here in the New Mexico high desert. Taken through my Lunt 60mm pressure tuned scope using a Skyris 236M CMOS video cam. Shot at 180fps for 20 seconds and I stacked the best 300 shots using Autostakkert3. I did some basic contrast balancing in Photoshop an...

Imaging was done with a Skyris 236M Cmos at 30 FPS and 1920 X 1200 For 20 seconds. I stacked 6% of 556 frames in Autostakk...

Thank you Paul for the suggestion.
The Celestron Capture software iCap only saves as AVI and I have had the best captures with this software. Perhaps I need to learn the sniggy details of FireCapture or AstroCap.
I did download the SerPlayer software for future endeavors.

I was pleased with my image of the sun but the ISS looks a bit odd. I think it may have been atmospheric distortion due to high winds at the surface and aloft.

I’ve managed to capture 3 solar and 1 lunar transit in the past year.
Your zoomed in shot is really nice.
Was it the clouds that caused your hiccup or just an anomaly?
I think it adds character to the image.
