Hmmm. M68 on the lunt 50. That does make things interesting in the mod department...
I'm sorry.

Re: lunt 50 mod

of course I also add an internal 75mm erf!!! hello TS scope is same as tecnosky one lunt 50 mod is really easy it is a M68 screw same as the focuser from the scope! You'll immediatly get 95% of the mod. Next if you want to change lunt focuser and get perfectly same distance between focus point and ...

Re: lunt 50 mod

After many years dealing with inconsistent Ha area with my PST mod, I decide to move to a lunt 50 mod. Luckily my152/900 scope is close to lunt 50 f/d ration, so no barlow is needed! I was also looking for a fully screw system. here is the result : http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/945784IMG2033.jpg...

Re: PST mod Telescope question.

It's all about compromises this modding; unless you're using bespoke designed optics for a project there will always be a price to pay in terms of image quality. I modded a 70mm f6 refractor to use with a PST mod, I was pleased with the results. At the end of the day it's a way of getting a result ...

Merlin66 wrote:You could use the 102/714 with the PST Mod, but it would be restricted to an effective aperture of 71mm (714/10).
Alternatively you could replace the front barlow element of the PST assembly with a -140mm barlow to give the full 102mm.

How I can replace the Barlow ?

PST mod Telescope question.

I there. I just have a silly question here. For a PST mod I know it's better a F/10 refractor scope. But, I was reading about the lunt 100 specifications and I find out that is like the Explorer Scientific 102. My question here is: It is possible to use the ES 102 on the PST modification as well? He...

Re: ZWO ASI174MM (mono)

I did not tilt my camera for the FD images (setups used). However you will have to deal with newton rings most of the times in HR work. This is the reason I prefer the GS3-U3-28S5M-C best regards Thank you Pedro. I will use the camera for HR pictures on mosaic (2 x) pictures so, I will have the rin...

Re: ZWO ASI174MM (mono)

Lots of people use the 174mm for solar with great success. Mark, you will, probably, not believe me, but I am the one, who denied a ZWO ASI174 for solar imaging and prefer an old good PGR Flea3 ICX445 mono, despite slower fps. May be I need better seeing and more sunny weather, but for now this ZWO...

Hi everyone. Next year I plan to focus more in doing solar, planetarium observation, outreach and pictures. But, I figure it out that I need a better camera that the one I have. Hi guys. I want to asking you about CCD cameras for solar. I do have a DMK51 mono camera that make all my solar pictures with out a problem. But, it's just 12 fps and I'm looking for something more faster around 30 fps. I'm current testing the Skyris 445m @ 30fps I do like the camera I mean the desi...

just placing an etalon in the light train of a donor scope like yours will end up in a desaster. I highly recommend first reading the documents available in the mod section. may be you contact Kevin and ask him about of a copie of his famous paper

I see two solutions. A step up tube from the lens to the filterhausing or a new filter cell

What do you think about scrape a little more the filter cell? Do you think the filter cell will be too weak!?

Or any idea where I can order another filter cell?

Now a new Problem..... the Aluminum Filter Cell is too small to fit my astrotelescope.... the diameter of the inside of the filter cell is: 113 mm around 4.44 inches and the diameter of the front of my telescope is: 116 mm around 4.56 inches  https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5554/18659617098_5aa1...
