Thanks Maurits! Mark, nice picture! That's close to the view I had. I got the part going parallel to the limb a bit dark, tried to compensate by getting the perpendicular part darker, but my flash in the camera made it brighter again as the graphite reflected :D. Mark, the aperture (and hence magnification) could explain I really can't complain about seeing, even with the currents which should be there near the balcony and elsewhere in the middle of the day. It's interesting the detail in the PST is clearly better than on the GONG photos. Our eyes-brains must process things for the better, a bit like processing photographs.
