It was very south, apparently very rare. You can see it deviates from the solar spot bands in your photos! It can be seen in the May to July photo, so pretty recent.SoumyadeepMukherjee wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 2:32 amThank you so much. Can you tell me more about this outlier spot?

I think both are good. Can imagine I will alternate between the alternatives. Maybe wise from this thread I will be putting at most a light hue on my hopefully coming images, so the color can't be very badly distorted...

Nice shots, Leo! I'm sorry for all the bad weather encountered. Inspired me to look up my own data, have clearly had a feeling weather supports solar observing in my area during summer, at least when compared to the overcast winter and night observing. And science supports my experience: https://ima...

Thanks, something tells me to have a "low-tech" approach, just sitting there sketching, maybe I'm feeling some potential. As a contrast I do also enjoy to watch utter hi-tech when it comes to images. It's realism in different ways.

Hi! Clear day, 13C (warmer on the balcony), seeing average. PST, 17-50x. Red pastel pen and blending stump. Thought about blending in some orange, but in 20 minutes the shape had already changed, you almost need to get prom sketches done in 10! https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/3600/XKibTv.jpg
