Do you have an idea Marty with these Lunt_60_50 DoubleStack upgrade how many Angstroms you have as end result? Probably around 0.5~0.6A, but this FWHM rating is not important. The actual transmission profile is far more important and that's to have the wings around the central wavelength peak suppr...

Hi, Well, the fact that you have an obvious jacquinot spot makes it apparent that whatever measurement you used for collimating lens placement for both etalons is simply not positioned correctly. Hi Oleg, What is the base scope you're using (aperture, length, etc)? Are you using collimating lenses internally or a telecentric? The jacquinot spot will shrink as bandpass becomes more isolated in a collimated system. If they were front mounted, it wouldn't be noticed. If they were behind a true ...

Hi, A tilt adapter will help. Your system doesn't have to be perfectly collimated, which is really hard without a dovetail that spans the scope and its imaging train to anchor to. That would be ideal. I have no problems with things not being orthogonal and I don't need a tilt adapter with a cheap li...

Hi,

I would consider the Lunt 40 etalons. They're inexpensive and tilt tuned. RAFCamera already has plans for a chamber to be machined to hold it. You just put it behind a telecentric like Baader TZ4 and you are back in business. Plus you can get a 2nd one and double stack.

Hi, If you plan on using the whole 150mm aperture, go full aperture. Especially with short focal length. The disc image is tiny with that focal length and so all the energy of the 150mm is concentrated into a smaller area, it will be very hot in that tiny area, so a sub-aperture D-ERF is less effect...

Hi, What are you trying to accomplish? I'm confused by the focal reducer bit as its not needed. You don't need F10, F7, etc. The focal-ratio largely doesn't matter.
