Re: They arrived eventually

License is no more limited to three cameras in Genika Astro. But you can use FireCapture as well, works with Basler.

Re: Nov 13 Sunday Solarchat meeting 1800GMT

Hello, usually I forget about these meetings but today it may be feasible. I participated in the ProAm collaboration. In general the first run has ended, but it appears not to be excluded that there will be another in the future. If there is interest in it I can tell a bit about the general idea, an...

I also have registered and received response. Moreover, main communication channel will be on slack, as it appears.

I won't be imaging for the next week or so, though.

Re: Ha on Aug 7Hi,th with a T300

Hi Alex, outstanding images - St. Veran is a great place for high res imaging as soon as the weather cooperates. Is this the mirror with direct ERF coating, or your solution from last year with the ERF in front of the secondary? Good luck for you and all others for your second week in St. Veran! Bes...

Dave, did you zoom-in into the original (raw image/video) if you see that structure there as well. I wouldn't think so.

Re: Alexandra noise yes I have posted one to let you see what happens when I use my asi1600 camera for full disks

Dave, this looks like an aliasing artifact - if you downsample an image with regular structure to a smaller image size. I observe this when looking at zoomed images from 20Mpix files from my DSLR (I think also from my Qhy268c camera). If you look at your original images without zooming, do you see t...

Re: Incredible sun 10th July but cannot focus with 120mm Refractor!

Hi Magnus, I completely understand your issues - it also took me some time before I had the extensions, focuser position +/- diagonal right. Also the problem with finding the sun... Key really was to look at the solar limb. There you see if you are completely wrong with focuser position, or near. If...

Re: Incredible sun 10th July but cannot focus with 120mm Refractor!

Hello Magnus, I also agree that it probably is the amount of backfokus. With my Bresser 152/1200 I need 2.5 additional extensions (each 40mm if I remember correctly) to reach fokus: https://solarchatforum.com/download/file.php?mode=view&id=69775 With the diagonal it should be easier because it c...
