Re: Maximum allowable file size for posting?

Alexandra, I converted the GIF file to an MP4 as it was a smaller file size. If a Gif is a better option please let me know, as I'm not tech savvy on social media platforms.

Great prom rotten weather 19 /02/2020

Today's flat sun yielded a great prom that I was hoping to create an animation but the sky here in Brisbane did not want to clear. Here are my results . I hope someone had decent skies. Nice capture Rsfoto .The sky here is terrible today so I took the liberty of using my GIMP presets that I use on my own images to reprocess your image , hope you don't mind.

Re: Prom animation February 8, 2020

Thank you for your advice Franco, I tried my first animation session today and achieved reasonable results. What frame rate delay do you use for playback? Iv'e been working on around .3 to .5 seconds .

Re: Prom animation February 8, 2020

Franco. that is a nice smooth animation. My autoguider arrived yesterday, so now I'm waiting for the clouds to clear so I can do some animations.
Can you tell me what your exposure intervals are and how many frames per capture?.

Arch Prominence

The sun was quiet yesterday, a small active area and a few prominence's. There was a type "E" Arch Prominence which I imaged in 30 minute intervals over 1 1/2 hours as it started to break up. My Solar Guider is in transit from the USA so I can start experimenting with time lapse animations. Martin 2...
