Ha and Cak 23-07-2024

Today's seeing in Brisbane was fair, the jetstream was not too strong, the westerly winds that we have been having for a few days have eased. Here are some of my captures from today. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53875758353_301474d460_o.gif SE Prom 37 mins 2231 ut 22-07-2024 by Martin Symonds...

Cak & Ha Session 16-07-2024

My solar telescope project continues to evolve. Yesterday I added a USB3 hub to connect my two cameras, this means I don't have to keep unplugging them when I switch from Cak To Ha. My next task is cable management. My main task today was to test the new hub and monitor the camera performance, it al...

Sunday Session 14-07-2024

We had strong gusty wind in Queensland today, along with the annoying Jetstream, so the seeing was sub-par. I did a quick mod to my dual band Solar Scope ,I added a diagonal to make the Cak filter less obtrusive. Here are my results. url=https://flic.kr/p/2q43Hf1] https://live.staticflickr.com/65535...

Good results Martin, i wonder what was off with the Lunt. I don't know Dennis, I had a frustrating 2 years trying to get decent results. I figured the cost and inconvenience of sending it back to Lunt was not worth it, so I sold it. The Antlia has performed well, even in shocking seeing conditions....
