Are you going to post your solar images with the SF60 filters ? I was thinking of doing the same !
Nice choice.

Hi,
Interesting discussion here. Not sure what business Astrograph is regarding etalons.
I am thinking of selling my house and use up all my savings to get a really high quality etalon, much better than SE or PE. I am sure I will be satisfied with this arrangement.

Super work Mark!
May I ask, how do you get the sun to be so big on this webpage ? Do you zoom in or do you double the size of your disc in Photoshop ?
Thanks

Dear Petrus,
I am jealous of all your super solar equipment and cameras.
Do you mind if I downloaded your image of the prom/CaK disc here and try and process it to adjust colours, I am practising my image processing skills.
Many thanks.

What is the Hinode solar guider ? How accurate is the tracking to the sun. Do you need to adjust the mount after 1 hour ??
Thanks

Our sun in a billion years time?
Hi All, I tried taking the sun in white light with a dSLR (Canon 7D) and 300 mm lens but try as I may I could not get much detail. After a few more hours I managed to wait until the sun moved to a higher position for my telescope, 90mm F10 achromat to take with my ASI 174mm camera. Here is a composi...

Hi Paul,
Did you use a 1.25 inch focal reducer ? I think I got reasonable results with a 0.5x focal reducer Antares 2 inch version.
Not sure what you are trying to achieve with a focal reducer in this instance.

Re: Just showing off a bit ...
Dear Rainer,
I forgot to inform you, that I think it is easier to use a prime lens e.g. 20mm or 24mm Prime lens for panoromas. Not sure if a zoom lens is harder to get a nodal point (NPP) and do panoramas. But I think you knew that anyway.
