Thanks Vineyard! The proms were really pretty yesterday. The Edmund Optical Gband filter does ok but it lacks the contrast and detail that the newer and more narrowband Altair Gband filter shows.

Are you referring to the one that just lifted off this morning? I just happened to open up GONG as soon as I woke up and saw that it was a massive lift off starting just before 10:00 UTC! Hmm…. I did not know about that one. We should come up with some sort of "Early Warning Notification"...

April 24 2024 Gband and Ha Imaging Session.

Earlier today from 15:15 until 15:30 UTC I imaged the Sun using my AT72EDII ( Gband ) and Ha using my SMII90SS. I stopped the AT72EDII down to 40mm. The camera used was my ZWO ASI178MM which ran on my old Windows 8.1 laptop. Gband used an Edmund Optical 430nm filter on the nosepiece of the camera wh...

Wayne,
Thanks and you are welcome. I tend to like classical, new age and jazz music. I am also a fan of celtic and bluegrass music as well. Music often makes a good background to an observing session. Of course natural music like the songbirds is nice too.
