Re: Filaments in IR? or What? 5 | 25 | 23

Both of those scopes make a great pair. And as I have said before, a beautiful observing site!
Nice work!!

It obvious that your seeing was very good. These are beautifully detailed. Very nice work Pedro. And your great three-light mosaic is back!
Thanks for posting your great work.

I see the Coronado 60. It’s dwarfed by the Meade 16” SCT.

Quick PhotoSphere Work. 6-3-23
This morning before leaving out to see my Dad I did a quick 540 and 430nm imaging session using my Orion70 with the Point Grey camera and Mac Laptop running ASTRO IIDC. Processing was done in PS CC 2020. The seeing was below average and the temperature was 71F ( 21.6C ). The time taken is in the ima...

Thanks Mark. Not a bad idea!marktownley wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 6:02 am These are excellent images James! You have the tuning on that Ha scope perfectly even there. You should 'clock' the position of the etalon relative with a sharpie, then you can return to it quickly. I have done this with my sm90.

I'm tempted to try a pair of 10x42 eclipse smarts from celestron and compare against the lunts._MarkTownley
They should show a bit more detail than the Lunt 8x32 pair but will certainly require a tripod for close-study views.

Excellent resolution on the spots and granules in the photosphere images. That 152mm refractor does very well.
