April 17 2024. WLC through milky clouds.

I had to keep the power low using mostly 25x and only once going briefly to 31x. The session was from 15:20 until 15:42 UTC. The seeing looked to be about average. The temperat...

It was a wonderful day Mark. If today allows I may get back on the lake later this evening. That is not a bad idea for the keys. Or I could clip them to my belt loop or life jacket which I wear. I don’t plan to capsize but just like a car accident it can happen.

Lol. I thought about that but somehow the “ Grey Minnow “ rings true to me. The kayak is a small boat and it is greyish in color. I may get a larger pontoon boat. It would almost no doubt be called the “ Carpe Diem!! “.

SUNocular view from on Lake Russell S.C. 4-15-24
Today while fishing from my kayak I caught the Sun using my little Lunt 8x32 Lunt SUNoculars. I had to catch a calm cove to do this so the boat would stay still enough for a good view. I had tried previously but the boat rocked too much. A friend of mine told me that he had not been quite dedicated ...
