Great images and congratulations on and fine scope. I love the focusing primary.
Looking at that active area today the bright circular area had me convinced that I had some strange reflection or an off band area. Great to see it in detail in your image.
Do you cut your long support bars with a cnc?

I know a lot of people have this issue and it’s been discussed. I only see it when I’m using gamma. Often rebooting the program helps for a little while, but it always comes back. Rebooting the program also makes me lose any flats I have made.
Is there an update that has addressed this issue?

I’m having a huge glare problem that I assume is coming from between my two stacked Lunt 40 mods.
I’m wondering, what a good option is for a circular polarizer and adapting it between the two T2 fittings. I’m of course wanting to pass as much light as possible, but also keep the path short.

Congratulations, and very nice image. I have the same scope, and to be honest, I’ve been shocked at how sharp it is. Every bit as sharp is my Takahashi FS 102. It obviously doesn’t have the color correction of the Takahashi, but that is irrelevant for narrow band imaging. I’m looking forward to seei...

Apollo made only a few of these some years ago. He never sold them, but just made them to be tested. He Is no longer on Solarchat,but I don’t think he has any interest in making these anymore. I totally agree about the use of springs. A flat spring might be less problematic Or perhaps some other way...

Looking at these again, I just can’t get over the detail within the umbrae.
Can I ask what are the typical exposure times you are using with this setup? Much gain?

Well hell. I think this is a pretty nice image with good detail..
I also use 8 bit on my 533 because of frame rate. I’ve compared it to 14 captures and have yet to seen improvement..

Have you tried calling Lunt back?
Ask to talk to Faye. They can occasionally lose track of issues, but a simple check in or a reminder is almost always followed up in my experience.

Thank you all. It’s been nice nice to finally get some clear skies here in South Texas.
Ivan. This uses an 150mm f/10 Istar. A large DERF sets just after the objective (not present in this picture) On back was a TZ-4 and a SolarSpectrum , then a .4x reducer.

Taken 5 14 24 with my homebrew refractor. These were the first clear skies we’ve had for some time , and seeing was pretty good.

Interesting the dark lines leading upward in the area bottom left of center. Like vertical parallel mini-proms. Are they spicules?

Whether or not you achieved the theoretical max resolution at that wavelength, you have done something very special.
