Re: Today's SUN (20210613) | NEW AR & Floating PROM

These are absolutely fabulous captures Pedro.
The floaters and the close-up's of AR2833 are especially excellent and so clear.

Thanks for sharing

Re: SUNDAY 13-6-2021 NEW AR-SPOT AT N.E.LIMB

Hi Franco, thanks for the link, which was used very early today, as is on my system, but wanted the Heliographic view from Stereo as well as other data from SDO. I have a daily routine of going through various websites to see the situation and any useful forecasts, which primarily require those two ...

Re: SUNDAY 13-6-2021 NEW AR-SPOT AT N.E.LIMB

Excellent reply and confirmation Fabio. So unless those in the U.S. side of the "pond" have access, then this situation has occurred a few-times this year at least and certainly for the second (or more) day too - now... Oh well, I guess we will just have to look/image the the Sun ourselves...

SUNDAY 13-6-2021 NEW AR-SPOT AT N.E.LIMB

With limited and inaccurate data via spaceweather.com, there appears to be the new AR just inside the N.E. Limb apparently known as either AR2833 or within their image on that website being shown as AR1898 in their large FD view.. !!! Unfortunately, the STEREO images and the SDO websites seem not to...

Re: What is this? (Strange objects in Ha wavelength)

I must admit the artefact/(UFO)/whatever starting at 0.22seconds into the video does look quite interesting, as possibly seem to be disturbing the prominence (behind or in front) somewhat, but that could be a snag with imaging too. Much depends on the actual real-time of the individual captures, ver...

Yes I agree, and something biggish is coming round the bend soon.
Can't show a Heliographic image as the website or satellite appears to be down at present.

Thanks James

Re: What is this? (Strange objects in Ha wavelength)

As Rod has said, most likely insects, very likely a satellite too (as there are so many of them up there), space-junk and one or more balloons too.

Quite common and usually seen after image processing (unless one is glued to the pc-screen during downloads) - ones eyes I mean... !!!

Re: Today's SUN (20210611) H-alpha FDs + Video

Excellent presentation Pedro. Yes indeed, keeping those "Dust Bunnies" away in the first place is a must, so any open optics/cameras must be immediately-capped, or as Pedro correctly uses the sealed-case method. My three scopes and cameras are left in situ and just the objectives are cover...

Re: SUN 9/6/2021

If your laptop-screen is used for accurate focusing, then really that is the only camera to pc method, but if you can use M.S.Windows "Magnifier" tool, you can certainly getter a better look at the Sun's limb and then adjust the focus accordingly. To find the screen "Magnifier" t...

Re: Today's partial solar eclipse,as seen from Montreal

Hi Dan, you've certainly produced the overall best presentation from Montreal, Canada.

Even the clouds prevented too-much damage to the captures.

So many of the best captures on SolarChat for this event, but your presentation will be hard to beat.
