Thanks folks, I think I actually did a fist pump when I actually saw it zip across the disk and I knew I was capturing it! Actually got 100 frames of it on the disk but would like to try with a closeup to actually get some detail on the station.

First ISS solar transit 7/3/2022

I'm sure I can do better but it was fun capturing this first, really fast transit (1.1 seconds) this morning at 8:28 AM EDT. It came across the limb right when Transit Finder predicted. I went full disk since I was pretty sure where it was supposed to cross but now I know how accurate the prediction...

Thanks all It's clear that, at least in this case, 15 minutes is too long for individual frames in an animation. What sort of interval is commonly used? Recorded as a series of individual files or as a big file that is split up afterward? I find the animations fascinating, but a lot of work. Balanc...

Catching up with processing since rain this morning and quite a bit of clouds at the moment. Disks are from 7/1, and then an animation of the NW limb from 6/30/2022 and an animation of the NE Limb from yesterday, 7/1/2022. I also made an animation from the Gong images of that same tower prom about 1...
