I've tried too to DS lunt50. Despite many newton rings...I came to the conclusion that the picture is darker and gives an impression of higher contrast No real new info on the "DS" picture Vs "SS" picture Would be interesting to compare your mod with a camera, the same day with ...

Wow, you have a great place there!!!
These frames can be shown in the news.
I've heard that bears come to people's houses in search of food, but that lions do the same! I am very impressed. Take care of yourself and your neighbors.

Re: Doublestack for mod

Hi, everybody, I want to share with you a small mod that (as I would like to believe) works. I dreamed of doubling the stack for about a year, but for financial reasons I postponed the purchase of an aperture DS from Coronado, as Bob advised, and then, for all known reasons, such a purchase and deli...

Hi my friend! Great description. By the way, in your photo, the force of attraction emanating from the cat is equal to the sun :) Could you remember October 24, watching through DS did you see the spots? I'm interested because I tried to double the stack of my telescope and I can't figure out whethe...

Ivan, That's a really nice end of season image and I am sorry that your view of the eclipse got clouded out. If you only had a pair of 8x32 Lunt solar binoculars to give you a peek at the low sun during those cold winter months. I do hope your comrades do post their images. Stay well... James Thank...

Hi, Alexandra!

Great job and have a good day. I am glad that you were lucky this year, I remember that last year the weather did not allow you to see the eclipse. I wish all of us that there were more such lunch breaks.

October 24, 2022

Hi everyone, Yesterday it was clear and I decided to try to remove the mosaic. Seeing has changed a lot, so the fragments have different quality, but, alas, the end of October, and this is normal. This is probably my last session of the season. Ivan https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52452286802_a4...

Super animation of Carlo! I have always admired the fall of solar matter not vertically downwards but along the curved trajectory of magnetic lines.
