You may have miss read my post I have it all mounted on a solar scope and I can get live view of the sun or anything I point it at when mounted on a normal scope but I don’t know how to set the correct camera settings then take a photo and save it.

Yeah Mike I can do that for imaging but for outreach viewing it would be to difficult for some of the oldies,,,,,,,,,hang on I'm one of them,,,, haha.

Yeah I could do that Mark but I prefer to keep my scopes complete and ready to go rather than having to remove & replace stuff from scope to scope.

I have a Baader Zeiss 1.25'' diagonal on my Quark and 80/400 f5 scope but I need it for a night time scope and don't really want to purchase another one to put back on the Quark because of the cost. Would a cheaper diagonal degrade the view in any way, if it does then i'll have to fork out for anoth...

I have one of these and to stop the wind blowing it off the table the cover is held down with a allen head bolt on each corner to hook the eyelet

Nigel can you tell me why you removed the original focuser then cut the tube by about 140mm then made a 60mm adapter then added a focuser on the end of the adapter. So what I can see is you've cut off 140mm then added on 60mm. Why not cut off 80mm and leave the focuser. Maybe I'm missing something,,...

Quark tuning dial

Can someone tell me what the tuning dial on a Quark does.

I don't see any difference turning it from full anti clockwise to full clockwise.

Also has anyone investigated removing the Barlow, which looks like the new Quark soon to be released.

Can anyone here make me a adapter ring,

male 2″ x 24 tpi thread to female M50 x 1 thread total length 25mm,

alluminum and doesn't have to be anodised.

PreciseParts in the U.S. can but want $143 U.S. which is $183 Aust dollars which is way to much.

First photo is the 50/330 scope and i watered and fertilised it and blow me down it grew to twice it's size over night.
2nd and 3rd is the new 80/400 f5 scope and the view is awesome.

The 80/400 Opticstar turned up today so I quickly stuffed the Quark on it but couldn't get focus so I added a extension tube still no focus so added another ex tube still no focus. Might take a bit of time tomorrow and not be in such a hurry. The scope looks awesome. Pics will come when I get it sor...

Got this back from Daystar just now. Alan, Jen Winter - Owner here. Glad to see the filter is working well. That scope should work just perfectly for you to pass full disc. I think we will try to get one in ourselves because the 80mm F/5 just about perfectly fits the focal length for best viewing. C...
