Processing is really good, the coloring of the sun is like the one you could get visually with the 540 nm narrow band filter

Today I attempted some mosaic composition of some of the active regions visibile these days. I targeted also prominences and filaments which seemed to me significant. Seeing was average, actually I was expecting much worse conditions according to websites. It is my usual setup, 80 mm ed, TZ4, quark ...

Is it possible we are already crossing the solar maximum ? If it is so, the 25th fill follow 24th as another fairly weak cycle

Well, I've never done UV narrow band UV imaging myself, but I think there are a lot of details in your pictures and contrast is good. It looks like you have captured some fibirils from the lower chromosphere

Great hand crafted scope, really a unique piece of engineering. Great shots too. The snowy landscape is a beauty even under a cloudy sky.

Very good pictures. I 've never imaged in near UV, but I think the CaK is really detailed and sharp, a difficult undertaking considering that seeing degrades a lot short wavelengths.
