Re: Test of the new lens Lichtenknecker 150/F8 HA - 15.07.

It didn't work for me and I took a few pictures with the AR200/F8.5 at F34 with a 0.8x reduction in front of the IMX429 camera. I'm not saying that there is no difference, but 150 vs 200 mm, I would expect more. The truth is that the seeing was now much worse in the afternoon than at noon.

Re: Test of the new lens Lichtenknecker 150/F8 HA - 15.07.

Looks good Petr, a lot of strehl i guess. Does it behave better with the seeing relative to the other scopes? I haven't compared it, but it's very good for midday sun. According to the original report, Strehl has an H-a of 0.956, but what has changed after 35 years is hard to predict. Definitely th...

Test of the new lens Lichtenknecker 150/F8 HA - 15.07.

I waited a long time for this lens because it needed new anti-reflective coatings. They finally brought it today, so I had to try it on, but unfortunately already in the midday sun. Even so, the results exceeded all my expectations. Tests on F32 and F48 with IMX533 and IMX429 showed the qualities of...

Hi, Before guessing. Is the 450m height difference noticeable? Who is higher? :bow2 OK, looked again at the images and s2 is sharper... ¿?¿?¿? My telescope is at an altitude of 450m, the other at 900m. I was wondering if the difference would be noticeable in the photos, but I can't see it. It's pro...

Among the clouds with AR210/F8.5 14.07.

I missed that brief moment of cloudless skies, so I hunted again.
Among the photos is one from a colleague with the new AR210. Can you find her? I did the processing myself so it wasn't too different. Is the 450m height difference noticeable?

I’d say the client should be pleased! These are great. For what the seeing was, he can jump 2m high :D , because the AR150/F6 didn't have a much calmer picture. It looks like these 210/1800 lenses will be very popular with solar astronomers as they give results comparable to the 4x more expensive I...

I haven't been here in a while because I've been hard at work on a new AR200 for an eager client to say the least. Today I did the first test at full aperture with the internal DERF 110mm and with the shade at 180mm with the DERF 180. I don't see any significant difference. You can judge for yourself.
