P.S.T etalon and bf15 and baader 1.25x gpc.

It's my second sale. The sun is not popular in Korea. I sell coronado p.s.t etalon and bf15 and baader 1.25x GPC. There is no telescope in p.s.t., only etalon. 2" front adapter included, but no 2" backside adapter. However, an adapter that does not fit the threads of the 2" backside a...

Re: disassemble the quark.

Jongho, Did you disassemble the etalon itself? That's something DayStar highly recommends people not to do. It's amazing you disassembled the Quark and got it back together and working again. That's awesome!! James hi,James It wasn't as difficult as I thought. However, the etalon assembly cannot be...

Re: Quantum back focus?

As Mark notes, who knows what the TeleVue Powermates are specified for? They only describe these as being developed for their more recent widefield eyepiece designs. I should also note that the TZ2 and TZ4 were specifically designed for use with an 800 mm FL objective. However, Christian Viladrich ...

Re: Quantum back focus?

See this link , which most importantly shows that the objective's focal plane is located ~ 93 mm behind the front of the TZ4 telecentric lens assembly - which should remain fixed , and the resultant focal plane lies 220 mm past the end of the TZ4. TZ4 config.jpg The Quantum or (Solar Spectrum) etal...

Quantum back focus?

my telescope is 204mm F8.8 telescope. The filter is quantum 0.5A.

I would use a baader tz-4 magnification.

Where should the quantum be located in the telescope focus?

thank you.

WoW, that is a nice refractor. Most this size are old long-focal length/ratio achromats. I bet you had fun being involved with it. It's not an achromate lens. apm 14" f12 3-element apochromatic telescope. This is design and produced by the ARIES. I remember you stating that. It's rare to see a...

Great H-a refractor! Have you ever visited the Seul Planetarium (or a science center with Planetarium and observatory)? It has 14" F/12 triplet super-apochromat (objective of my design and produced by the ARIES). Valery Hello Valery Yes, the 14" f12 refracting telescope It is installed at...

Re: 22.10.13 H@ in Korea.

Very promising shot! I am curious how such a small mount can handle such a large refractor. May we see the pictures of your setup? Valery hi. It is not a complete structure. The current telescope weighs 17.8 kg. However, the total weight of the diagonal + filter + camera is about 19.8 kg. Improveme...

Re: disassemble the quark.

Jongho, this is a great post. There are some interesting points to consider from your images. There are 3 external connections on the circuit board, USB 5v in , thermostat sensor and heater out. If you have an electrically non functioning Quark, you could replace the internal circuit board with 2 e...

Re: disassemble the quark.

Was there air between the cake layers and the housing? Or was it pressed in? There is a little air gap with the housing. There is a slight gap between the etalon assembly and the housing. As you can see in the photo, the etalon assembly is different in size. The middle etalon is not a perfect fit, ...

Re: disassemble the quark.

The two black lines in the center did not match, so I applied a little force to match the black lines. After assembly, it works without any problems. I mustered up the courage to disassemble the quark Perhaps the first inside a quark. The structure is not complicated. The filters at both ends are fixed and do not move. Hi. I've been using an istar h@ 150mm for a long time. It's a very good lens. Better than sw 150 f8 of the same size. Most of the h@ results on my homepage are taken with an istar 150mm. Keep that in mind. www.sunview.co.kr You had sw 150/f8? You say that 150 Istar f10 better Sw 150/f8? iSTAR 150/F...
