Thanks for all your replies. :) Nice images, Dominik, I prefer the non inverted images over the inverted ones, but that’s just me. One comment I would make is that you might want to increase the size of the surface disk slightly prior to combining in order to cover up the white line around the limb....

Ahhh. ok so that did not work.
what i have also tried is aligning the images befor batch processing the files or the other way around.

i can't help you with PS since i use gimp :( sorry

I had this problem too yesterday.

for some reason using expand instead of crop worked for me. maby you could try that.
i did the crop after aligning.

i have also found that sometimes imppg has problems when there are multible sunspots with simular size.

hope this helps in some way

That's sooo cool.

i thought something like this is not possible because of light from the sun scattering in the atmosphere wasching out the light from the corona befor it hits the blocking disk in the coronograph.

Uhhh i don't know that 100% but i think its a combination of mostly artifacts from L-R decomposition and artifacts from stacking images of an unstable atmosphere. But someone with more experience can give us his/here take :) ..doesnt look like noise or artefacts to me. More like a bit of granulatio...
