Re: A little bit of sun

Thanks. It been a while since I posted here. I wasn't really happy with my plasma image so I went back and reprocessed completely different and I am much happier with the results.

I really like the way you have our forum setup. Perhaps I am just use to the layout here but I never really like the stargazers lounge setup.

That really is amazing. It seems like they would show some images taken through the scope for that kind of price

Re: Homemade Wedge Question

The scope has a home position in polar mode that is different than Atl/Az mode so the angle matters a great deal. The other question I have is the actual home position of the tube in polar mode. The documentation I have found seems to bounce around with some saying the tube needs to be upside down a...

Homemade Wedge Question

I am making a wedge for my LX-90. I have been reviewing documents on the web for homemade ones and there is little information out there that I can find. I have already figured out a simple design but I want to confirm where my Latitude angle is measured from. I drew up a quick diagram for reference...

Very nice set of PST images and the outside architecture of the observatory is great. Curious ... are they stilling the old optics in the scopes or have they replaced them with more modern glass?

Re: Perot Museum Discover the Universe

We had a wonderful time at the Perot Museum. As I expected we hade close to 500 adults and children stop by 5 solar stations. I was too busy so I didn't get any photos but it went over great. Looking forward to doing it again next year.
