That's a really interesting animation Ralph, first the big blow out of material at the top, this then agitates the bottom right, which then aggravates the bottom left. A very nice sequence of possible interactions.

I agree with James :) I have seen very intricate light bridges before, sometimes they look like a helix in shape with knots etc. They can be very beautiful but always look like the photospheric granulation is moving back inwards to separate the spot as it starts to decline. These are super Mark :bow :hamster: you were lucky with the weather, we also had a cloudy forecast but it did peek out of the mackerel cloud around 2pm just when my parents arrived :( but it didn't last long, maybe 30 minutes.
